Dragons’ Pumpkin Crisp
Need a dessert that can be served warm and, later, cold? Your friendly neighborhood dragon will help you out by crisping the top of this quick and easy pumpkin pie bake. This way, you’ll truly be viewed as a wizard or witch of the kitchen, as well as give your guests either warmth or cold as the weather dictates!
1 (one) large can of Libby’s Pumpkin Pie mix (or something similar with the seasonings already in the mixture)
1 (one) can of evaporated milk
1 (one) box of white cake mix (any brand)
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix/whisk the pumpkin pie mix and evaporated milk together and pour into a greased 8” by 13” baking pan.
- Sprinkle the cake mix over the top of the mixture. (You can spritz a bit of spray-on butter over the cake mix, if you’d like.) Before placing it into the oven, wave your wand over the mixture and recite the spelle below one time.
- Bake for 1 and ½ hours (start checking after an hour) until the top is golden brown—the pie mixture should be set by this time. Serve warm or cold with some whipped cream or ice cream, etc. (Refrigerate if serving cold, and also refrigerate any leftovers.)
Dragon’s Fyre, cook this pie
As golden brown as Thy Eye.
Make it sweet and slightly tart
To give us strength like in Thy Heart.
Whether warm or cold to serve
We gain through Thy Wisdom and Verve.
